The ages given below can be used as a rough guide – if you are interested in a particular recipe, we can happily adapt the party to suit the age of your child.

2-5 years old

HAPPY FACES – 1½ HOUR PARTY

Children mix their own dough alternating in vanilla and chocolate flavour. When all the ingredients are mixed together to the right consistency, the children are asked to divide the dough and swap, thus each child will have both mixtures prior to hand crafting their happy face. To add the finishing touch a combination of freckles and Smarties and sugar candy sprinkles are used to add character and make each child’s creation a masterpiece.

Children mix their own dough alternating in vanilla and chocolate flavour. When all the ingredients are mixed together to the right consistency, the children are asked to divide the dough and swap, thus each child will have both mixtures prior to hand crafting their lollipop biscuits.  A wooden stick is placed under the biscuit to form the lollipop. To add the finishing touch a combination of freckles and Smarties and sugar candy sprinkles are used to add character and make each child’s creation a masterpiece.

WANDS & SWORDS – 1½ HOUR PARTY

6-9 years old

The 6-9 year olds can make all of the recipes above, as well as the following:

CUPCAKES – 2 HOUR PARTY

Normal cake making procedure of creaming margarine and sugar, egg, vanilla essence, self-raising flour and milk plus food colourings. Four cupcakes are made – white, pink or blue, and purple. Coloured sprinkles decorate each cupcake.

DOUBLE/TRIPLE CHOC CHIP COOKIES – 1½ HOUR PARTY

A combo of white, milk and dark chocolate chips (plus cocoa if desired) come together to make a yummy dough that makes approximately 6 biscuits.

Ingredients: dairy/dairy-free margarine / choc chips / cocoa / brown sugar / plain flour /

GINGERMEN/CHOCMEN – 1½ HOUR PARTY

Children mix their own dough with either ginger or cocoa used to flavour. When all the ingredients are mixed together to the right consistency, the children carefully roll out their dough prior to cutting out their shapes. To add the finishing touch a combination of freckles and Smarties and sugar candy sprinkles are used to add character and make each child’s creation a masterpiece.

HI-5 HANDS – 1½ HOUR PARTY

Children mix their own chocolate dough. When all the ingredients are mixed together to the right consistency, the children are asked to divide the dough into eight pieces prior to hand crafting their hi-5 hand. To add the finishing touch a combination of freckles and Smarties and sugar candy sprinkles are used to add character and make each child’s creation a masterpiece.

LOVE HEARTS – 1½ HOUR PARTY

Children mix their own dough alternating in vanilla and a colour of their choice – usually red or purple food colouring. When all the ingredients are mixed together to the right consistency, the children are asked to divide the dough and swap, thus each child will have both mixtures prior to hand crafting their love hearts. To add the finishing touch a combination of freckles and Smarties and sugar candy sprinkles are used to add character and make each child’s creation a masterpiece.

MARBLE CAKE – 2 HOUR PARTY

Normal cake making procedure of creaming margarine and sugar, egg, vanilla essence, self-raising flour and milk plus food colourings and cocoa to create the marbled effect throughout the mini marble cake. We usually leave the cake undecorated so that the marble effect won’t be lost.

YOUNG EDIBLE ART – 1-2 HOUR PARTY

This is similar to edible art but better suited to younger children. An easy mix dough is made into multiple colours and divided among the guests. Special instruction and guidance is given to make your chosen masterpiece, with suggestions for butterfly or fish designs, or a special theme for example underwater, grand prix or latest Disney movie character. Decorated with chocolates and sprinkles.

YOGI BEAR CUP CAKES – 2 HOUR PARTY

Normal cake making procedure of creaming margarine and sugar, egg, vanilla essence, passionfruit yoghurt, self raising flour and milk. Four cupcakes are made baked in special flexi bake bear patty pans and coloured sprinkles used to decorate each cupcake. The flexi bake patty pans are not included and unfortunately can not to be taken home – the cupcakes are removed after baking. Special arrangements and price can be made to purchase one or more patty pans per child. If you are interested in this option please let us know.

10-13 years old

The 10-13 year olds can make all of the recipes above, as well as the following:

EDIBLE ART – 2 HOUR PARTY

A multi-coloured biscuit dough using the creaming method is made and shared among the cooks so each child has at least four colours to sculpt their own biscuit masterpieces. The biscuits can be eaten or dried, varnished and mounted on card for display. This recipe is great for creative minds.

GLAMOUR HANDS – 1½ – 2 HOUR PARTY

This is a more mature version of the Hi-5 Hands (listed above) which  uses a different-advanced technique – the creaming method. Greater attention is made to the decoration and detail of the fingernails and bracelet. One hand print is made.

Ingredients: dairy / dairy-free margarine / icing sugar / plain flour /corn flour / vanilla essence /sugar candy sprinkles

ORANGE CAKE – 2 HOUR PARTY

Normal cake making procedure of creaming margarine, sugar and egg, then the remainder of the ingredients. Includes grating oranges for rind and squeezing for juice which is added to the mixture. Pieces of orange are cut and used for decorating on the top of the cake.

Ingredients: dairy/dairy-free margarine / egg / sugar / plain flour / orange rind and juice / baking soda / cream of tartar / milk / slices of orange for decoration

UPSIDE DOWN CAKE – 2 HOUR PARTY

Normal cake making procedure of creaming margarine sugar and egg and flour. A thick layer of margarine is spread on the baking dish and brown sugar is sprinkled on to this. Canned pineapple and dried fruit is arranged to form patterns. The mixture is spread evenly on top.

ZOO ANIMALS – 1½ HOUR PARTY

Children mix their own dough, roll and cut out a choice of monkey, lion, bear, giraffe or elephant then decorate with chocolates and sugar candy sprinkles. Approx eight zoo animals are made.
