Party packages and pricing

Prices are charged on a per-child rate, with a minimum number of 12 and a maximum number of 40 children per party. Smaller or larger parties are available by arrangement – please contact us if you would like to discuss your needs.

Parties with large numbers of guests, non-participating parents, prams etc. are sometimes held outside of our Malvern shop at one of our other locations. If our current list of alternative venues is too far from where you live, please call us to talk through hosting your party at a closer, more convenient venue.

Basic party – $25.95 per child

The Basic party (1.5 hr std duration ) includes the venue hire, party supervisor, chef’s hats and aprons for all the kids to dress up in and feel the part, pre-cooking activities, plus all cooking equipment and ingredients for the chosen recipe. This option also includes delicious party food, as listed below, plus a range of fun party games to end of the party on a high – approx 5-15 minute. The above together with the party food detailed below is all served and supervised by our experienced staff. Best of all, they get to take away their precious baked item as their take home treat.

We are happy to provide additonal marg pizzas/pizza muffins, veggie sticks and hommus dip, fruit juice or soft drinks. If you have any special requests such as sushi, please let us know.

Why not let us take care of the cake as well? Gourmet Kids can arrange a personalised birthday cakes at very reasonable prices, from as low as 29.95 (inclusive of candles, plates etc.). You are welcome to bring your own cake, however a $15 surcharge will apply to cover the supply of candles, plates, cutlery, napkins and clean-up services. Please refer Birthday cakes below.

Optional extras:-

Complete party – $29.95 per child

The Complete party (1.5 hr std duration) includes all of the above, plus the children get to keep the chef hats and aprons worn during the cooking session. This, together with their baked take home treat, makes for a long lasting momento for each child attending the party.

With our Extra Fun party, (1.5 hr std duration) package, this includes everything that the Complete party has above, plus the opportunity of adding in some of the optional extras listed below:-

Longer party time – 1.75 or 2.0 hour party

Should you wish to extend your party from the standard 1.5 hour to either 1.75 or 2.0 hrs (you would like to make mini cakes or cupcakes or simply would just like a longer party) this can be done providing you advise us early, either at the time of making your booking or as soon as you receive our party confirmation letter (so that the next party time can be rescheduled). The cost for each 15 minute block extension is $2 per child (ie $4 per child for an additional half hour party).

Why not let us take care of the cake as well? Gourmet Kids can arrange a personalised fresh cream sponge (vanilla or chocolate) or an ice-cream cake, with your choice of edible gel images and birthday greeting drawn on top, or an edible photo image of your child for no extra cost. Our cake prices start from $25.95 (inclusive of candles, plates etc.), and we also have a range of speciality options such as dollcakes, or are happy to accept any special requests.

Photographs

Give your child something to remember by choosing this personalised momento – either a group or individual photograph for only $18.

After the cooking session while all the children are still dressed in their chef’s outfits, our staff will line all of the children up and take a group photo. Your photo will be sent to our photographer for enhancement, complete with a personalised frame, which will be emailed to you approx 1-2 weeks after your party.

Personalized thank you photos/magnets

You can also have your photo turned into mini photo thank you cards ($15 for 4 plus $3 postage) or thank you fridge magnets ($20 for 4 plus $3 postage), perfect to keep at home or to send out to others. If you’re looking for an extra-special momento of your time with us, we sell authentic Gourmet Kids cooking aprons ($15 available for purchase on the day or can be posted – $3 postage) and chef hats ($13 available for purchase on the day or can be posted - $3 postage), including the option to pre-print with a photo to wear on the day (personalised apron), or to be printed later with a group or individual photograph as above ($35 each including printed item and postage).

Should parents wish to stay and watch the fun, we have a number of delicious adult food options together with a wide variety of hot and cold drinks available at very low prices. With regret we do not allow self catering for the adults, so if you are wanting something other than our list below, please do not hesitate to discuss this with us.

Hot drinks – cap, latte, hot chocolate, regular and herbal teas only $2.50 per cup – available at the Malvern shop only
Cold drinks – wide variety of cans, vitamin waters, iced teas and bottled flat/sparkling water from $2.00 – available at all locations
